Mounted international understanding – that is what the German Friendships are – a competition concept that saw its premiere in 1999 and has since connected young riders from all over the world through a very special competition held every two years.

“Friendships not Championships“ is the overall theme of this unmatched competition where friendships come first. Jamaica meets Lüneburger Heide, South Africa and Bavaria canter together in the arena, Russia and Westphalia form the perfect duo. The competition mode is unique: from the beginning, the riders at the German Friendships start as a team. One German rider and one guest rider from another country train together, compete together – and, of course, celebrate their success together.

Time and again, the German Friendships lead to fascination and enthusiasm in participants, trainers, audience, and sponsors, because concepts such as internationality and intercultural partnerships are not only valued but practiced daily. This may take place during the common training, on the competition grounds, during small talk in the stable aisle, or at one of the evening parties.
